Cheesy Flamin’ Cheetos®

There are many potato options to consider with this recipe! Easily swap the Idaho potato base with fresh cut Idaho potato French fries, ripped and torn Idaho potatoes, any fresh Idaho Potato variety and/or fresh dried Idahoan Tater Tumblers


  • 8 ounces (by weight) Idaho® Potato French Fries or Idahoan® Tater Tumblers
  • ¼ cup lime braised pork, recipe follows
  • ¼ cup bacon, cooked, chopped
  • ¼ cup nacho cheese, warmed
  • Flamin’ Hot Cheetos®, crushed, as desired
  • Green onion, chopped, for garnish

Lime Braised Pork

  • 5 pounds pork shoulder, cut into 3” pieces
  • ¼ cup taco seasoning
  • 4 cups vegetable stock
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 Tablespoons dried oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon dried cumin
  • 2 limes, zest and juice


  1. In a plate or bowl, add cooked fries and top with pork, bacon, nacho cheese, Cheetos and green onion.
  2. Serve immediately.

Lime Braised Pork

  1. Toss pork in taco seasoning until coated well.
  2. Next, place oil in a large pot over Medium-High heat. Cook pork until seared on all sides.
  3. Once pork is seared, deglaze with vegetable stock and add remaining ingredients.
  4. Cover and either cook on Low heat, or place in a 275ºF oven for 6-8 hours or until fork tender.
  5. Once cooked, shred and refrigerate in its own juices overnight.
